Following Kenny Campbell's report, the Ed. received the following clarifications from an anonymous, but well informed source:

"Rod Hathway does not have a HUSBAND!!!! And his non husband has begrudgingly allowed him to play this season and wishes for it to be known that she has never stood in the way of her non wife’s rugby career. It is merely Rod's fault that he keeps on getting injured and spends every other day of the week complaining whilst pretending not to be injured on the Saturday morning.

Lyster kindly agreed to be substituted and was not injured (for the first time in his illustrious career) It was merely logistics and to help everyone get a game. Macari scored the try attributed to the famous A N Other, whose family peppers the 4th XV team list on a regular basis."
