Currie 22 - 10 Watsonians

UP-AND-COMING rugby ace Steve Burton highlighted extra desire as the key factor which separates Currie from their local rivals Watsonians after his side's 22-10 Scottish Hydro Electric Premiership win at Malleny Park.
"We just don't like losing especially at home and I think it was no coincidence that a couple of our players had to be helped off the pitch with injuries sustained putting their bodies on the line," said the recent inclusion in Scotland's under-20 squad.
Burton insisted: "I just think Currie wanted success more."

'Sonians captain Kyle Traynor agreed his side have work to do to pull out of a trough that has seen them lose twice in three starts.
"There was lots of endeavour, especially in the scrums, but three missed tackles and some indiscipline killed our hopes.
"Credit to Currie though for holding out when we were applying pressure into the wind after half-time, and for getting back to 10-15" said Traynor.
What happened next involved Currie showing the type of killer instinct that Traynor maintains Watsonians need. In the 77th minute, Andrew Binikos put the game out of the reach of his opponents by shrugging off a defender for a try under the posts. Dour and forward-orientated for much of the proceedings, Saturday's encounter nevertheless threw up some glimpses of potential, particularly from the young Currie pack among whom Mark Cairns was the oldest starter at 23.
