GWC 10 Dollar 5

George Watson’s College under-18 side won through to the fourth round of the Bell Lawrie Cup after a superb win over Dollar at Myreside on Tuesday evening.
GWC defeated the visitors, a school who have won the competition three times in the last five years, 10-5 in front of a decent sized and vociferous crowd thanks to a great all round team performance.

The pack put in a power of work and turned over a lot of ball, while stand-off Jamie Forbes - who is just back from injury - held the side together along with captain Stuart McInally.
Tries for GWC came from winger Matt Taylor in the first half and centre Grant Somerville in the second, but a late Dollar score meant a few fingernails were chewed until the referee blew the final whistle to spark celebrations.
