Internationalists Walker and Bell hard day on the pitch
Watsonians hooker Sarah-Louise Walker started her first international as Scotland Women’s rugby team were defeated 45-3 by Canada Women at Hughenden on Sunday.
The Scots struggled against the strength of the Canadians and were 23-3 down at the break, Scotland’s only points coming from a penalty by scrum-half Louise Dalgliesh.
After the break Canada, who play Wales near Cardiff on Friday, ran in four more tries to leave Scotland Coach Lee Adamson and his players plenty to ponder ahead of the Six Nations.
Despite the result congratulations from all at the club to Sarah-Louise and Sandra Bell who was an unused sub in the match.
The Watsonians ladies are next in action on Sunday, November 11 Home to Edinburgh University.
