This is why the Ed. can exclusively announce, after reading it in the Scotsman, that Myreside will host the World Cup warm up game between Tonga and Edinburgh. The game will take place on Friday 24 August with a 7.15 pm kick off.

Furthermore, it would appear that Myreside will also be hosting a Supporters' Forum in the Watsonian clubhouse, from 6.30pm, where Nic Cartwright and other Edinburgh club officials will be on hand to answer supporters' questions.

|
|
To celebrate the return of rugby to Myreside, the game will be free of charge. Possibly not what the cash strapped Tongan team was hoping for, but a move that should attract a sizeable crowd.
