Watsonians defeated Selkirk in their final pre-season match on Saturday.
New South African winger Rohan Steyl was the star at Philiphaugh, notching four tries in the 50-5 win.
Fellow winger Ali Rowe also looked sharp with two tries while full-back Craig Sorbie and Kiwi back-row man Josh Abraham, making his debut after arriving last Monday, scored. Scrum-half Mike Ker kicked the remainder of the points.
It was a good run out for 'Sonians ahead of a tough opening league match against Hawick away on Saturday. The team would welcome support at Mansfield Park as their assault on the title begins.
