Leah named Watsonian of the Month

Leah Cuthbertson has been named the Watsonian of the Month for March.

The award, decided by club coaches as well as some club members, is open to all players and supporters.

Leah was awarded the prize for setting up a girls section within the club during the month, for helping to referee a fourth XV match at Dalkeith and for her general hard work for the club despite having been injured all season.

There were a number of candidates this month and notable mentions go to Ciaran Wilson for running a race night and organising the Belfast tour and Emma Jones due to continued efforts to get everyone in the club kitted out in WFC branded gear.

Points taken into account include;

attendance at training
availability for matches
attendance at games
attendance at social events
helping team mates or other members
helping new members settle in
positive inclusive attitude to other teams in club
volunteering at events
contributing in a positive manner to club

The winners so far this season have been;

September - Chris Hunter
October - Sarah Hammerton
November - Baz Lawson
December/January - James 'Cakes' Robertson
February - Gregor Wood
March - Leah Cuthbertson

There will be one more winner announced before the club end of season event on May 14.
