Hogg and Di Rollo in for big match

Scotland caps Ally Hogg and Marcus Di Rollo will start for the first XV this Saturday in the must win Scottish Hydro Premier One match at the Greenyards.

The team need to win Bruce Aitchison’s last match in charge to stand any chance of staying up. They also need Edinburgh Accies to lose to Heriot’s - also on Saturday - to leapfrog them and be safe.

Hogg, pictured, turned out for WFC at last week’s Melrose Sevens and has been released by Edinburgh to help him regain fitness. As a result he will be at No.8 instead of carrying out his usual role as forwards coach. He is joined in the back-row by two up-and-coming talents Stuart McInally and Mike Fedo.

Elsewhere in the pack Donald Seed replaces Jonny Duthie in the second-row.

In the backs Max Learmonth and Seb Trotter make way for Doug Brown and Di Rollo in the centre with Learmonth taking up a wing berth in the absence of Andrew Turnbull. Ali Rowe has passed a fitness test and starts at full-back.
