WFC's Iain McGregor will soon be cycling to Rome to raise money for charity, while a team involving WFC members will be taking part in the Hearts and Heroes Challenge.
On May 20 Iain, pictured, will be departing from Canterbury to cycle to Rome. They plan to follow the Via Francigena which is a 2076 kilometres ancient pilgrims route. They will be camping on route and carrying all their kit with them and plan to be in Rome before June 4.
Iain is aiming to raise money for the Cyclists Fighting Cancer charity.

And on May 15 Kath Vass, Brian Drinkwater and Baz Lawson will be part of a team in the Hearts & Heroes Challenge.
This is a 29 mile walk/run along the Southern Upland Way in the Scottish Borders to raise money for Poppyscotland and Hearts and Balls, two charities with exceptional causes.
Poppyscotland are Scotland’s leading veterans charity. They provide advice and support to ex-service personnel and their families who find themselves in crisis or in need.
Hearts and Balls are Scotland’s rugby charity. They aim to ensure that those connected with rugby are supported by the wider rugby community in times of need.
