Hearts and Heroes update

The Myreside Ramblers took part in the Hearts and Heroes Challenge in the Borders on Saturday.

Team member Kath Vass said: "Well, we all finished. I had to drop out at 14 miles. Bronze for me. The others, Gold winners all: Baz Lawson, Brian Drinkwater, George Hamshaw and Wendy Simpson(Grangemouth and special Myreside Rambler guest) all did the 29 miles, a superb effort which put them under a lot of strain. All are recovering well!

"Also met Tom Kerr from the Borders Watsonians (FPs all) who wants to throw us a party next year. So everyone should start their training for May 14 2011. The more the merrier. We can still be sponsored on www.heartsandheroes.co.uk"
