McInally and Co finish 10th in Argentina

Scotland under-20s lost out to Ireland to finish 10th in the IRB World Championships in Argentina.

They went down 52-23 to complete their campaign with the Six Nations champions too strong for Stuart McInally’s side, despite the WFC man grabbing yet another try.

Head coach Eamon John said: “We’re really disappointed in that performance. We played in patches and Ireland took their chances and got away from us so we’re bitterly disappointed.

“We scored two good tries but we fell of tackles on occasion and if you do that at this level you’ll be punished.”
