Owenson and Orr join

Two recent Scotland age-group props have joined WFC for the coming season.

Craig Owenson and Dougie Orr have arrived for the 2010/11 season from Heriot’s and Haddington respectively.

Owenson played for Scotland under-20 against France earlier this year before damaging his ribs. Before joining Heriot’s he was at Musselburgh.

Orr was a member of the Scotland under-20s squad for the World Championships in Japan in 2009 and is known as a strong scrummager.

Head coach Marcus Di Rollo said: “I think it is excellent news that these two guys have decided to join us. Prop is a position we knew we had to strengthen in and I believe they will add a lot to our team as they have been training hard already in pre-season.

“They are both young guys who are technically good, but they also have good rugby skills and that should see them fit well into the way we will be looking to play.”
