Duo start against Ireland

WFC duo Sarah-Lou Walker and Keri Holdsworth are to start Scotland Women’s last World Cup warm up match against Ireland on Sunday (Lasswade, 1pm).

Having played South Africa in two home Test matches at the Bonnyrigg ground last month, the match will prepare the players for the big event in England during August.

Head coach Gary Parker said: "This match has been set up as a training game of three half hours to give ourselves and the Irish one last chance to try out different combinations in a real game.

"It's another opportunity to put our training into practice against a team that doesn't know our calls or what lines players will run. We're looking to see how all these things work in a match environment which will offer a real insight to our progress."
