Two players could make first XV debuts on Saturday when the first XV entertain Boroughmuir at Myreside (3pm).

Australian second-row Dan Gorman arrived last weekend and is in the 20 man squad picked by Marcus Di Rollo and Andy Barnett. Young prop Ross Turner, who captained Fettes to the 2008 Scottish Schools under-18 Cup, is also included.

There will be a players meeting for all after training on Tuesday. Attendance is essential.

There will be a WFC social event in the upstairs bar at Myreside from 7.30pm on Saturday, September 11.

The event, held jointly with the Watsonian Hockey Club, will kick start the season and allow you to get to know some of your new club and team mates better. It will be a fun evening with bar games and karaoke (NOW CONFIRMED!).

Spread the word amongst team mates, friends, partners etc and get yourself down on the night.
