Watsonians are delighted to announce a new charity partnership with Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity.

This partnership will see the club support the Edinburgh-based Charity with various fundraising activities, squad visits to the hospital, and match-day experiences for those able to attend. As a sign of the club's intent and commitment, Watsonians FC have pledged to raise 10,000 in 2024.

Speaking on the announcement, General Manager Alistair Hamilton said:

' We couldn't be happier to partner with the Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity. They do incredible work for seriously ill children and their families in hospital and in the local community, and we knew instantly that we wanted to partner with them. There are so many obvious synergies and ways that we can work together to raise money, and I can't wait to get started.'

Club President Richard Kelly also spoke:

'As a club we are committed to using our considerable reach and resource to giving back to the community, and this is a perfect way for us to demonstrate that. Several staff members at Watsonians have already visited the new Hospital out at Little France, and it is absolutely clear that the two parties are going to be able to work together to really make a difference. We've already had the incredible support from one of our lead partners, DHL, with a Christmas-time activation, and I'm excited to use this as a launching point to do more.'

Kate Dixon, Corporate & Partnerships Lead at ECHC, said:

“We’re so proud to have been chosen as Watsonians charity partner and are enormously grateful to them for their dedication to supporting seriously ill children and their families. Alongside our friends in the NHS, ECHC works tirelessly all year round to provide children with the extra support they need when facing a life-changing hospital visit. With Watsonians as our partner, we hope to reach every child who needs us and make a huge impact on so many more young lives.”
